Do what you need to do to take care of you. Don't overcomplicate it.

We talk about taking care of ourselves a lot but we rarely ever really do it. Mostly we feel overwhelmed and think we don’t have time – but often we just don’t know how.

Don’t overcomplicate it.

Taking care of yourself does not mean doing everything you ‘should’ do for yourself perfectly. Just pick one thing. That one thing can be simply taking fifteen minutes for yourself to reflect on your thoughts or enjoy your drink of choice. [Mine if coffee]

One of the things I have chosen is keeping my back aligned with my doctor and friend, Dr. Heidi Shultz. She is my chiropractor and keeps me in-line in so many ways. I love her so much I drive almost 45 minutes one-way to see her regularly.

I spend too much time on my computer sitting comfortably but badly for my back. My back being out-of-whack messes up everything: how I feel, my emotions, and how I move around.

That’s what I have chosen as the thing I can do for me that helps me stay strong and not only do the things I need to do but feel like doing them.

I’m not saying you need to go to the chiropractor. I’m saying you need to pick at least one thing that “keeps you aligned” so you can be better and do better in all things you have chosen to do in your life.

If you’re not refueling you, you will have nothing left to help anyone else.

These videos are all about bringing awareness to the #LoveGlassesRevolution founded by my close friends Tara Ijai & the CHOICE we all have in every moment to see the world around us through the lens of love, empowerment & joy.

Should this 30-day challenge speak to you & you’d like to join the party:
1. Decide
2. Choose something that speaks to you that is reflective of love (it can be a video, quotes, art, random acts of kindness, reading a page of your favorite book, etc.)
3. Share it! We could all use more of that! The gift is in both the sharing and receiving.

There is no limit to what we can accomplish together if we share a small part of ourselves with each other. That is love. That is being alive.
