Day 8: 30-Day 60 Second Love Challenge (Problem Solving)

For every problem there is a solution. Let's get creative in solving problems.

Today was the Coffee at Deedra’s event. It was amazing. With no agenda other than bringing   amazing women from my virtual Facebook world into my real-life world, we accidently revived the Salon.

Salon – a gathering of people under the roof of an inspiring host, held partly to amuse one another and partly to refine the taste and increase the knowledge of the participants through conversation.

Thirty-six women showed up at my house in the middle of the day, on a weekday, two days before Christmas.

That’s commitment. That’s a burning to desire to be a part of something incredible – making strangers friends and basking in love.

It was diverse in every way except no males (that I know of, LOL).

It was a ‘no-judgment zone’ and a ‘come as you are.’

But leading up to it, I had decided I really wanted to have cucumber tea sandwiches without making them myself.

Who would have thought that would be difficult?

Every store I called had never heard of them.

The only places I found were catering companies that wanted to do a full catering. I just wanted a tray of sandwiches.

I did find that Wholefoods in Canada, Oregon, and Washington state listed them on their catering menu, but locally they were clueless.

So I asked my local Wholefoods catering department if they could contact one of the stores where I found them and get direction. They agreed.

It took a few days and the caterer seemed a little intimidated (“It’s seems simple, so I think we can do it….”), but they got it done.

The cucumber tea sandwiches were a hit. Wholefoods nailed it!

There is no problem that cannot be solved. The main obstacles are usually us. We have an idea of how things should be and we fail to see other alternatives.

But if we take a step back we can usually find a solution, even if it is outside of our comfort zone.

These videos are all about bringing awareness to the #LoveGlassesRevolution founded by my close friends Tara Ijai & the CHOICE we all have in every moment to see the world around us through the lens of love, empowerment & joy.

Should this 30-day challenge speak to you & you’d like to join the party:
1. Decide
2. Choose something that speaks to you that is reflective of love (it can be a video, quotes, art, random acts of kindness, reading a page of your favorite book, etc.)
3. Share it! We could all use more of that! The gift is in both the sharing and receiving.

There is no limit to what we can accomplish together if we share a small part of ourselves with each other. That is love. That is being alive.
